That would be an interesting mindfuck for non-spoiled viewers. Have
nuJohn start murdering people in cold blood and truly acting horrible,
leaving viewers to wonder how he could ever be redeemed (even if his
memory was restored, he'd still have that to live with) only to reveal
that real John is STILL being held somewhere. Yeah, it'd be a
stretch, and I hope they don't go there, but like I said, it'd be
funny for those who don't read spoilers.
